Each January, the Good Food Foundation organizes an epic three-day Good Food Awards Weekend for the public and the trade to meet, celebrate, taste and buy from the nearly 200 Winners: the exceptional food crafters who top the charts in a blind tasting and meet the environmental and social responsibility standards of the Good Food Awards. Over 2,000 entries from all 50 states are submitted each year.
The Good Food Foundation exists to celebrate, connect, empower and leverage the passionate and engaged, yet often overlooked, players in the food system who are driving towards tasty, authentic and responsible food in order to humanize and reform our American food culture.
Through five key programs – the Good Food Awards, Guild, Merchants Alliance, Mercantile and Fund – they build widespread support for the growers, ranchers, makers and merchants stubbornly swimming upstream to create and share the kind of food we all want to eat: tasty, authentic and responsible.
There are still tickets available to the Marketplace, taking place this Sunday from 9am to 2pm. You’ll get the opportunity to meet this year's award-winning makers at their showcase for the food-loving public. Held alongside the Fort Mason Center Farmers' Market, the Marketplace is the first opportunity for the public to sample and purchase from the 2020 Good Food Awards Winners.
